Connect ShareLess to your AI
Two ways to connect. Connector-first: add ShareLess inside your AI, then ask it to set up your phone and enter the setup code it gives you, no second sign-in. Phone-first: start in the app, choose your boundaries, and add the connector to your AI. Either way, the AI connection says who is asking, and a separate destination connection determines what ShareLess can actually pause and execute.
I'll finish check-in now.
Only the approved detail was released.
1. Choose your connector path
For ChatGPT, Claude, and other hosted MCP clients, add the remote connector URL:
https://app.shareless.ai/api/mcp/remote
After you add the connector and sign in, ask your AI to set up your phone. It gives you an 8-digit setup code; open ShareLess, tap “I have a setup code,” and enter it. Your phone joins the same account with no second sign-in, and your AI walks you through your first approval.
On this remote path, ShareLess opens each shared value in memory only long enough to pass it to your agent, and never stores it. Your phone still decides every share. For a fully blind local path, use the Claude Desktop bundle below.
2. Install the local Claude Desktop bundle
This guide sets up the blind, local bundle, where shared values are opened only on your own machine. Build it from source with pnpm --filter @shareless/mcp-agent bundle, then open the resulting .mcpb file with Claude Desktop (Claude Desktop Settings → Connectors → install the bundle). It runs on your machine and never ships your vault to a server.
Prefer no download? Use the zero-install remote connector on our Resources page instead, then skip to step 4.
3. Get your app key
In ShareLess, open Your console → Connected AI apps and tap Connect Claude Desktop. You'll get a one-time key that starts with slvk_. Copy it: it's shown only once. You can issue this key from the web console or from the Account screen in the iOS / Android app.
4. Paste the key
When Claude Desktop prompts for your ShareLess agent key, paste the slvk_ key. Claude Desktop stores it securely; it never leaves your machine. If you ever need to replace it, re-issue from Connected AI apps (that rotates the key, and the old one stops working) and paste the new one.
5. Approve requests on your phone
The AI can move ahead without remembering to ask. When it uses a supported ShareLess path, ShareLess checks your boundary independently and pauses a match. The phone shows who asked, what will leave, who receives it, and why the boundary applies.
6. Try one available request
Ask for one detail already held in ShareLess or a bounded answer from your Finance information. The phone should show the requester, exact release, and reason. Gmail is coming next. Public posting and personal messaging stay out of the active controls until a real destination path can execute only the approved action.
How it stays private
ShareLess AI connections come in tiers. For Claude Desktop and browser extensions, a local key-holder opens the value on your own device. The remote connector opens an approved value in memory to pass it along and does not store that plaintext. Once an AI receives a value, it has been shared; blocking later stops future ShareLess access but cannot unsend it.
Manage or disconnect
Open Connected AIs to see what each AI received, reset its exceptions to Ask me first, or block it. Blocking immediately stops that connection from authenticating and prevents future ShareLess-routed requests.
